Format

16 Players, one day, 3 match tournament. 11v11 Blood Bowl following Blood Bowl 2020 Rulebook.

Team Rosters must be created via bbroster.com, therefore any team races not featured on bbroster.com are not eligible for the tournament. ‘Secret’ teams on bbroster.com are also eligible.

Each round of matches will have a ‘Special Rule’ applicable to all players for that match. These will be fair and even but will be revealed just before the game commences.

Tournament Points

Match Win = 3 points

Match Draw = 1 point

Clean Sheet = 1 point

Touchdown = 1 point

Casualty = 1 point (casualties from fouls and casualties caused by the crowd do not count.) Maximum of 3 total tournament points can be gained for casualties per match (this is to stop a team winning the tournament just because they killed a whole bunch of Snotlings for instance!). This cap is not in place for the Khorne Award for Blood Shed however, just for the tournament points.

Team Build

Team build should cost no more than 1,150,000 credits.

Tier 1 Teams – can add 4 Primary Skills

Tier 2 Teams – can add 5 Primary Skills & 1 Secondary Skill

Tier 3 Teams – can add 6 Primary Skills & 2 Secondary Skills.

A minimum of 3 of the Primary Skills must be given to Lineman (0-12/0-16 Players)

A maximum of 3 of any individual skill can be taken (e.g. a maximum of 3 ‘block’ skills can be allocated)

Each Primary Skill must be given to different players. A player who has received a Primary Skill may also receive a Secondary Skill (max two total skills added).

Star Player Tax – Any teams drafting a Star Player loses a Primary Skill. Two Star Players Drafted = Loss of Primary Skill & Secondary Skill (T2 & T3 teams – T1 teams = 2 Primary Skills lost).

No SPP is gained during the tournament and every casualty roll is automatically ‘Badly Hurt’ (i.e., they will make a miraculous recovery in time for the next game).

Matches are scheduled for 2 hours & 10 minutes. A ten minute warning will be given at the two hour mark. Referee

If two players can’t quite agree on how a rule should be applied to a situation, please ask the tournament referee Mark. He will either offer a definitive solution to the situation based on his best interpretation of the rulebook or, in the interest of time, will suggest a roll off (one player odd, one player even) to decide which way to solve the situation amicably so that the match may continue. If the ruling (either from the referee or dice roll) does not go in your favour, or in your preferred interpretation, please take the decision in a sporting manner (this isn’t the World Cup, they’re little plastic men and we’re here to have fun).
